Annual Eye Exam
Regular eye exams are an important tool in eye health for detecting and preventing eye diseases and evaluating the overall health of the patient. Some diseases, such as glaucoma, develop gradually without symptoms or vision loss, so patients may not notice that anything is wrong until significant and irreversible damage as been done. Early detection of eye diseases allows for a better choice of treatment options and a reduced risk of permanent damage.
We Diagnose and Manage Many Eye Diseases and Conditions, Including:
- Glaucoma
- Cataracts
- Diabetic Eye Disease
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
- Amblyopia (Lazy Eye)
- High Myopia (Near-Sightedness)
- Eye Infections
- Eye Trauma
- Macular Degeneration
- Dry Eyes
- Eye Allergies
- Headaches
- Retinal Tears, Holes or Detachment
- Vitreous Detachment (Floaters)
- Double vision
Medical Services
In addition to our comprehensive eye examinations, we also provide a wide array of specialty medical services. Sometimes, eye exam results or medical histories indicate that a patient could be at risk for a certain condition or disease.
Dry Eye Treatments
Dry eye is a multifactorial disease of the tears and ocular surface that results in discomfort, visual disturbance, and tear film instability with potential damage to the ocular surface. It is accompanied by changes in the normal tear film and inflammation of the ocular surface. In fact, dry eye disease occurs when your eyes do not produce enough tears or produce poor quality tears. That's why it's essential you get your tears analyzed by your eye doctor. Only an eye doctor can properly diagnose your problem and treat it appropriately.
Eyewear Services
Whether your look is sophisticated, hip, or casual we're certain that we can help you find that perfect frame to fit your personality and lifestyle needs. We recognize that you are unique and that is why we are continually adding new frame styles and designer.
Computer Vision
There are many factors that determine the strain your body feels as you work on a computer or other digital device, including room lighting, distance from the screen, glare on the screen, seating posture, and the angle of your head and/or any existing vision problems you may have. One or all of these may combine to cause an uncomfortable amount of strain on your eyes.
Contact Lenses
Contact lens examinations differ from comprehensive eye exams as they specifically focus on the front of your eyes, ensuring a precise fit. This precision is crucial not only for your comfort but also for achieving the clearest vision possible. Since your eyes undergo changes over time, it's essential to update the fit and prescription with each new set of lenses. This process involves detailed measurements obtained during our examinations.
Pediatric Examination
Vision is our most valuable sense. 90% of a child’s learning is through their visual system. Early detection can save years of struggling and harmful impact on your child’s ability to learn. We recommend an eye exam when a child appears to have a problem-no matter what age, but all children should have an eye exam at 6 months of age.
Myopia Control (near-sightedness control)
Myopia is a rising epidemic in the developed world with approximately 50% of people in the United States diagnosed as myopic and almost 90% in parts of Asia. In addition to the social, emotional, and financial effects of myopia, there are anatomical ramifications as well. Highly myopic patients are exposed to unique risks due to their elongated axial length (front-to-back length of the eye). While refractive surgery may eliminate a patient’s myopic refraction once it stabilizes, it does not eliminate the pathological threat associated with high myopia.
Ortho K and CRT
Vision is our most valuable sense. 90% of a child’s learning is through their visual system. Early detection can save years of struggling and harmful impact on your child’s ability to learn. Corneal Refractive Therapy is a non-surgical process clinically developed to reshape the cornea while you sleep. The result is the temporary correction of myopia with or without moderate astigmatism. This approved FDA procedure (Orthokeratology) allows patients to be free of glasses and daytime contact lenses WITHOUT surgery.
Lenses
Blue Light
Blue Light Protection lenses do not have a coating that can scratch or wear off. These highly advanced lenses are infused with pigments and dyes to mimic how your eye naturally protects against blue light.
The most near-clear protection against blue light emitted by digital devices and artificial light, all without distorting color.
Filters harmful wavelengths known to be associated with digital eyestrain, headaches, and sleeplessness.
Proprietary treatment infused into the lens-not a coating that can scratch off or wear off.
Transitions
Transition lenses, also known as photochromic lenses, offer a convenient and adaptable solution for those who need vision correction and protection from sunlight. These lenses automatically adjust to changing light conditions, darkening in response to bright sunlight and returning to clear indoors. This eliminates the need to switch between prescription glasses and sunglasses, making them an ideal choice for anyone on the go. Transition lenses can help reduce eye strain caused by glare and bright light, providing comfort in various lighting environments. They also offer UV protection, shielding the eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays, which can help reduce the risk of long-term eye health issues like cataracts and macular degeneration. Additionally, modern transition lenses are designed to adapt quickly, with newer technologies improving both speed and depth of tint to suit different brightness levels, enhancing overall visual comfort.
