Dr. Taryn Doherty - Dr. Taryn Doherty graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. She then received her doctorate at Illinois College of Optometry, where she earned honors for her clinical skills and became involved in advocating for optometry at the national level in Washington D.C. Dr. Taryn has practiced at a variety of offices, including the Veterans Hospital in Rhode Island, a medical based practice alongside ophthalmologists in Arizona, the Illinois Eye Institute contact lens department fitting specialty contact lenses, and a pediatrics and vision therapy practice in Colorado. She enjoys all modes of practice, but takes a special interest in pediatrics and contact lenses. Currently, she is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and College of Optometrists in Vision Development

Dr. Taryn grew up right here in the northwest suburb of Lake Villa, attending Grant Community High school and enjoying the Chain of Lakes. While she's practiced around the country, she's very excited to be back in her hometown seeing patients. In her free time, you can find her golfing, running, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and getting involved in the community.
